Loukas Papazoglou
Special Privatisation Secretary
Loukas Papazoglou is the Hellenic Republic's Special Secretary for Privatisation since 2004.
In this capacity, he supervised several privatization transactions amongst others the I.P.O. of the Postal Savings Bank in May 2006, the private placement (A.O.) for the 10% of OTE in September 2005, the secondary offering for the 16,4% of OPAP in July 2005 and the private placement (A.O.) for the 10% of National Bank of Greece in November 2004.
He holds an MSc in International Financial Markets from University of Reading and he is a Business Administration graduate from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
He has long working experience as a business consultant specialized in finance issues and has taken up executive managerial positions in private enterprises. He has also assumed teaching positions on derivatives and risk management with the Athens Technological Institute (TEI of Athens).
He is experienced on subjects related to the implementation of International Accounting Standards, Internal Audit and International Financial Markets.
During his graduate years he was elected as Chairman of the Student Union Body of AUEB and he was also the Vice Chairman of European Democrat Students Body.
Loukas Papazoglou is fluent in English and French.
