TITAN

Titan is an independent building materials group, based in Greece.

It was founded in 1902 and has been listed in the Athens Stock Exchange since 1912. It started as a cement producer operating only in Greece. It was mainly during the past 10 years that the Group introduced significant vertical structuring of its activities into cement related products and in new markets which helped the Group to evolve in what it is today; a multi-regional, vertically integrated group, with installed cement production capacity of over 15m tons, already present in four main geographical areas: the European Union, the U.S.A, Southeastern Europe and the Middle East. Titan is active in cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, processed fly-ash and porcelain products and employs over 6,000 people in its various operations.

The Group aspires to combine an entrepreneurial spirit, and operational excellence, with respect for people, society and the environment. Since its founding date, Titan has been established in the cement sector combining its technical and business competence with sensitivity and emphasis on environmental protection and restoration, professional training of its staff, accident prevention and social care for all employees and their families.

The Group's strategic objectives are to pursue further international expansion in cement production in order to strengthen its presence, to further vertical structuring of activities wherever the market conditions and competition are favourable, to continue the improvement in cost and productivity and to optimally utilise the Group's human resources, encouraging adaptation of the workforce to its new international identity.
