Elias Lianos
CEO, MBA, Proton Bank

Elias Lianos co-founded Proton Bank in 2001 with the late John Markopoulos and Anthony Athanassoglou.

Mr. Lianos has an MBA from Columbia University and a BSc in Applied Mathematics from Brown University. His extensive international banking career includes top managerial posts at Irving Trust in New York and London as well as at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi in London, where he was co-head of the European Commercial and Investment Banking Division.

In Greece he served as Vice Chairman and CEO of Piraeus Prime Bank and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Piraeus Bank Group.

Mr. Elias Lianos is the CEO of Proton Bank, since the establishment of the Bank in 2001.
