COMPANY MISSION
THE HELLENIC AEROSPACE INDUSTRY S.A (HAI), established in 1975, and its mission is to deliver defense and aerospace services and products to the Hellenic State, as well as to a wide range of domestic and international customers of both military and civil markets.
Throughout its 31 year operation the Hellenic Aerospace Industry has established a reputable presence in the global marketplace both as a supplier and as a partner to synergies that involve some of the world's leading manufacturers in the defense and aerospace industry sector.
The company today, represents one of the leading providers of highly competitive and efficient services in the areas of:
- Aircraft, engines, accessories and avionics maintenance (repair, overhaul, modifications, modernizations, upgrade, life extensions and logistics support).
- Development, design, manufacturing, and after sales support of electronic, optoelectronic and telecommunication products. Co-development and co-production of weapon systems.
- Design and manufacturing of aircraft subassemblies and engine parts
- Satellite systems and applications including the development of a satellite system network and the related telecommunications, observation and navigation applications.
- Composite materials technologies and testing methods for use on airframe manufacturing. A new 2.100 square meter, fully equipped, Composite Materials Facility is being built, operating by 2007.
- Technical training which covers a wide spectrum of aerospace industry disciplines.
- Precision measuring and calibration of production equipment.
- Certification for Electromagnetic Compatibility through its EMC Hellas subsidiary

MARKETING AND SALES
Operating an integrated , one stop industrial facility, the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, through its dedicated production centers, is geared to deliver high performance products and services and meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of quality, cost and responsiveness.
Today, HAI has established business cooperation with major aerospace and defense manufacturers worldwide, mostly in Europe and America. Including among others:
LOCKHEED MARTIN, EADS, RAYTEHON, ROLLS ROYCE, P&W, BOEING, DASSAULT AVIATION, EMBRAER, G.E., SAFRAN, AIRBUS, ALENIA
In cooperation with Dassault Aviation and four other European companies, HAI participates in design and manufacturing of the Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) programme.
Through Alenia has been engaged to the design and manufacturing of the new Boeing 787 jetliner.
QUALITY SYSTEM
Hellenic Aerospace Industry applies a comprehensive quality system covering every activity from initial definition of customer requirements to their final delivery.
The quality standard for all company's services and products is traceable to international standards and approved by a number of aerospace and defense manufacturers, state and quality organizations.
At present, the company holds the quality system certifications according to ISO 9001:2000, ISO 9001:1994 & TICKIT QUIDE, EN /AS 9100.
Moreover, HAI has been approved and certified by the HCAA (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authorities) as a repair center to provide services for Civil aircraft components and engines in compliance to JAR-145 and by major engine manufacturers for the repair and overhaul of their engines, such as T53 by Honeywell Aerospace, T56/501D by Rolls-Royce and ATAR 09K50 and M53 by Snecma Moteurs.
Futhermore, HAI has been approved and certified as a maintenance center for C-130 and P-3 by Lockheed Martin, and the Hellenic Navy respectively.
