Kostas Mallios
Biographical Abstract
General Manager, Office of the CTO and Rich Media Group

Kostas manages the Rich Media Group which focuses on strategy and product development activities in imaging and media opportunities. He also serves as Chief of Staff managing the business priorities of the corporate CTO.

Since joining Microsoft in 1996, Kostas has held a variety of positions. Recently as Director of Venture Integration, Kostas drove acquisition integration for 14 deals totaling over $3B. Kostas was involved with the formation of the Microsoft Business Solutions business by leading the integration of Navision and served on the core team leading the Great Plains acquisition. Prior to his M&A work, Kostas was the Director in the Enterprise Program Management group which identified joint product and business development opportunities with Microsoft's strategic ISV partners and their ecosystems. Kostas started at Microsoft as a Product Manager in Developer Marketing.

Prior to Microsoft, Kostas held various senior positions in publishing, consulting and services industries. Most memorably, Kostas spent 6 years professionally photographing top rock and jazz musicians.

Kostas is a graduate of Siena College with a BS in Marketing Management and has received his MBA in Management and Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Kostas shares his life with his daughter Alexandra and wife Kristi. He is an avid photographer, sailor and hiker.
