THE HELLENIC AEROSPACE INDUSTRY S.A (HAI), established in 1975, has the mission to deliver defense and aerospace services and products to the Hellenic State, as well as to a wide range of domestic and international customers of both military and civil markets. The company today, represents one of the leading providers of highly competitive and efficient services in the areas of:

  • Aircraft, engines, accessories and avionics maintenance (repair, overhaul, modifications, modernizations, upgrade, life extensions and logistics support).
  • Development, design, manufacturing, and after sales support of electronic, optoelectronic and telecommunication products. Co-development and co-production of weapon systems.
  • Design and manufacturing of aircraft subassemblies and engine parts
  • Satellite systems and applications including the development of a satellite system network and the related telecommunications, observation and navigation applications.
  • Composite materials technologies and testing methods for use on airframe manufacturing. A new 2.100 square meter, fully equipped, Composite Materials Facility is being built, operating by 2007.
  • Technical training which covers a wide spectrum of aerospace industry disciplines.
  • Precision measuring and calibration of production equipment.
  • Certification for Electromagnetic Compatibility through its EMC Hellas subsidiary

MARKETING AND SALES

Operating an integrated, one stop industrial facility, the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, through its dedicated production centers, is geared to deliver high performance products and services and meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of quality, cost and responsiveness.

Today, HAI has established business cooperation with major aerospace and defense manufacturers worldwide, mostly in Europe and America. Including among others:

LOCKHEED MARTIN, EADS, RAYTEHON, ROLLS ROYCE, P&W, BOEING, DASSAULT AVIATION, EMBRAER, G.E., SAFRAN, AIRBUS, ALENIA.

In cooperation with Dassault Aviation and four other European companies, HAI participates in design and manufacturing of the Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) programme.

Through Alenia has been engaged to the design and manufacturing of the new Boeing 787 jetliner.

HAI has been awarded with the structural and electronic upgrade of US Air Force F-16 fighters based in Europe, involving around 100 aircrafts.
