Tourism Development Co. (TDC) has been established with the view to becoming the 'managing arm' of Greece's State owned Tourism Property. Property under management is currently mostly owned by the Greek National Tourism Organization (G.N.T.O.).
TDC contributes to accomplishing tourism policy objectives, set by the Ministry of Tourism Development focusing mainly to the
- Sustainable development of state-owned tourism property
- Development of special kinds of tourism products (thermalism, congress & exhibition centers, agrotourism)
- Evoluation of modern tourist infrastrusture (Marinas, Golf Courses, Theme Parks,)
Tourism Development Co. is a leading Greek real estate asset manager, acting in between the Public & Private sector in order to assure optimal property developmen,t under the guidance of Interministerial Privatization Committee.
Investments enjoy the benefits of law 3049/2002 (privatization of state-owned companies).
The Company's main scope of activity is to manage and administrate the State-owned Tourism property while securing optimal development through modern financial techniques that promote the synergies between the State and the private sector (Private Public Partnerships' strategies).
The state - owned tourism property portfolio managed by Tourism Development Co. numbers over 350 assets scattered throughout Greece that cover a total area of about 70mn sq.m. and consists of business units - casinos, marinas, hotels, organized beaches, natural thermal springs, campings, ski center, golf course, etc.) and undeveloped sites.
Tourism Development Co. is involved in a broad spectrum of real estate & asset management activities related to tourism property development.
