Stefanos Papapanagiotou
Director, Investment Banking, Greece Cyprus, Credit Suisse




Stefanos Papapanagiotou is a Director of Credit Suisse in the Greece & Cyprus Investment Banking Group, based in London. Mr. Papapanagiotou joined Credit Suisse in September 2005. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Papapanagiotou worked for 6 years at Deutsche Bank as part of the European Mergers & Acquisitions team, also based in London. Before moving to Deutsche Bank, he has worked for 3 years as a Fx Derivatives trader in London. During his investment banking career Mr. Papapanagiotou has been involved in numerous high profile transactions in the Greek and International market, including the recent €1.25 bn rights issue by NBG, the privatisation of Hellenic Telecommunications (OTE) to DT; the €175m public offer by Iberdrola Renovables for the minority shareholders of C. Rokas; the €300m rights issue by Forthnet to finance the acquisition of Greek pay TV NetMed; the $5.5bn acquisition of Finansbank by National Bank of Greece and a follow-on rights issue to finance the acquisition; advisory to the Hellenic Republic on a number of other privatizations including the privatization of the Public Power Corporation and OPAP; strategic advisory to the Latsis Group in the acquisition of a stake in Hellenic Petroleum.

Mr. Papapanagiotou graduated with a B.Sc degree in Economics from Queen Mary and Westfield College and an MSc. in Economics and Finance from Warwick Business School.
