Jeremy Barnes is a Transaction Advisory Services Principal, based in New York and specializes in financial and accounting due diligence in the Energy sector. He has been with EY for over 20 years and has advised on over 250 transactions representing investments ranging from $2 million to over $15 billion. Mr. Barnes' recent clients have included high-profile private equity and strategic investors and sellers from the US and internationally, with a focus on Energy transactions. He has extensive experience spanning all major Energy sub-sectors, with a particular focus on oil and gas E&P, oilfield services and downstream.
Mr. Barnes previously led EY's TAS practice in Miami and was responsible for leading domestic and cross-border Latin America transactions. He was also based in São Paulo, Brazil where he was responsible for in-bound cross-border transactions with an emphasis on Energy. Mr. Barnes started his career as an auditor in the Energy practices of London, UK and Caracas, Venezuela. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Exeter and is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the ICAEW.
