Thomas Brownsword is a Senior Director in Fitch Ratings' U.S. Corporate Finance Utilities & Natural Resources Group. Thomas's primary responsibilities at Fitch Ratings include corporate credit analysis and industry research of midstream services, natural gas pipelines, crude oil and refined product pipelines, and other energy infrastructure. Thomas's career prior to Fitch included stints on the buy-side (MetLife), Lending sell-side (chiefly, Banque Paribas), and the utility industry (Long Island Lighting Company). Thomas earned an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University, and a BA degree in History from Brown University. Tom served six years in the Army National Guard, during which time he once enjoyed driving a Humvee between El Paso and Las Cruces.
