Ted is a managing director and senior oil and gas industry leader at Deloitte, with more than 30 years of experience in oil and gas accounting and taxation. Prior to rejoining Deloitte in 2007, Ted served in various leadership and managerial roles from 1980 to 2002, including managing partner of the tax division of the Gulf Coast at another Big Four accounting firm. He also served as vice president of tax for a large independent oil and gas company, where he gained experience with tax planning for foreign operations and repatriation back to the United States, cross-border structuring and M&A work, tax planning related to all property disposition and acquisition activities, including significant due diligence, structuring sale of a foreign subsidiary, and strategic alternatives process which led to the eventual sale of the company. From June 2002 to June 2004, Ted was the global oil and gas tax managing partner for Deloitte. He provided services to major energy clients in North America and coordinated activities with numerous multinational oil and gas companies.
