Andrew Garcia
Event Driven & BCC Specialist, Maxim Group LLC
Andrew Garcia is the Event-Driven and BCC Specialist in Maxim Group's Capital Markets group. In this capacity he is responsible for advising Maxim Group's institutional clients regarding opportunities in the event-driven and BCC space and publishes the firm's weekly blank check survey, Carte Blanche. Prior to joining Maxim Group, Andrew was Director of Trading at Laterman & Co., a private investment partnership in Manhattan, where he co-managed the firm's event-driven portfolio. Before joining Laterman & Co., Andrew covered institutional risk arbitrage and event-driven investors in equity sales and sales trading capacities with Cathay Financial, Oppenheimer & Co. and CIBC Oppenheimer. Andrew graduated from Kenyon College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
