George Margaronis
Managing Director, Clarkson Hellas Ltd.
Mr. George Margaronis is currently the Managing Director of Clarkson Hellas Ltd. Clarkson Hellas is the Greek branch of H. Clarkson & Co Ltd. (based in London), the world's largest ship broking group. He began his professional career with H. Clarkson & Co. in London as a Dry Cargo Shipbroker. He remained there for three years until he moved to Greece to join Transman Shipping Enterprises S.A., as an In-house Chartering broker. A few years later he took the position of Chartering and Operations Manager at Grecale Shipping Inc. where he stayed for the next six years. His next step involved becoming Managing Director and Charter Manager for four years at Curzon Shipbrokers Corp. The most recent step in his career has brought to him where he is today. Three years ago, Mr. Margaronis joined H. Clarkson & Co Ltd once again, but this time by leading the Clarksons team in Greece as Managing Director.
