Matt Thomson is the Head of the U.S. Transportation & Logistics Group at RBC Capital Markets based in New York. Matt has 20+ years of investment banking experience, leading dozens of sell-side transactions and raising over $100 billion of capital through the debt and equity markets. Prior to joining RBC Capital Markets in 2014, he spent 13 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a Managing Director overseeing the firm’s ground transportation, logistics and Jones Act practice. Matt began his investment banking career at M&A boutique Wasserstein Perella & Co. in their New York office. Matt received his B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
