Vagelis Chatzigiannis joined GMS in 2012, which is the World's Largest Buyer of Ships & Offshore Assets. He originally worked in  the operations department of the company, and he soon transitioned to the Sale & Purchase team, primarily focusing on the European market and promoting  environmentally responsible ship recycling solutions.  Currently,  Vagelis is acting as Senior Trader on behalf of GMS, handling commercial/trading matters and overseeing projects in various global business operations, particularly in the Shipping and the Offshore sectors. He obtained a BSc degree in Shipping Trade and Transport from the University of the Aegean in Greece, and he also holds an MSc degree in Marine Policy from Cardiff University in the UK.
