Andreas Christofides studied Economics (BSc) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2000), Economics (MSc) at Bocconi University in Milan (2001) and has an MBA from INSEAD (2005. He begun his career with SanPaolo IMI in Milan and subsequently joined Credit Suisse in Zuirch in 2006, as a portfolio manager managing bespoke portfolios for the bank’s UHNWI clients. He held a number of investment focused roles in Lugano and Monaco, before becoming Head Private Banking for Poland and Eastern Europe in 2011. He relocated to Cyprus in 2014 and founded Granfeld Wealth Management Ltd, a leading family office, authorized and regulated by CySEC. He leads the firm’s operations in offering tailored investment advice and managing investment portfolios as well advising on a wide range of wealth management topics. He is a trusted strategy advisor to the firm’s clients that are typically business owners and entrepreneurs. Andreas also has significant experience in corporate governance matters. In the period 2015 - 2020 he served as a Non-Executive Director (Independent) on the Board of Hellenic Bank, one of the largest banking and financial institutions in Cyprus. Since 2021 he is a Non-Executive Director (Independent) of Safe Bulkers Participations Plc and the Chairman of the Audit Committee. He has a very broad knowledge of the Shipping Industry as a result of his banking experience and as a Professional Investor.
