Konstantinos (Costas) Delaportas President / Chief Executive Officer DryDel Shipping Group Konstantinos Delaportas, the eldest son of the late Dionysios Delaportas, has been serving as the President and CEO of DryDel Shipping Group since 2021. With over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry, he has played a pivotal role in steering the company towards a future of growth and innovation. Since 2000, he has been serving as the Commercial and Chartering Manager of DryDel Shipping Inc. (formerly Meadway Shipping and Trading Inc.). In 2021, he took full control of the company, becoming its Managing Director, and since then; he has been leading DryDel into a new era of growth and development. His accomplishments in transforming the company include securing contracts for more than 20 newbuilding vessels with several reputable shipyards in Japan, successfully arranging project financing through sale and leaseback transactions, building strong relationship with Japanese partners and securing debt financing from international banking institutions. In 2010, Konstantinos expanded the company’s global footprint by establishing DryDel Shipping Singapore Pte. Ltd. (formerly Meadway Shipping Singapore Pte. Ltd.), where he has held the position of Managing Director since its inception. The Singapore office serves as the operational and chartering hub for DryDel’s activities in Asia. To further strengthen the company’s international presence, he founded DryDel Shipping DMCC in Dubai in July 2018, with the aim of enhancing DryDel's presence in the Middle East. Continuing his ambitious expansion strategy, Konstantinos launched DryDel Brazil in São Paulo on March 1, 2024. This strategic venture aims to better serve clients with cargo origins from the East Coast of South America (ECSA) region, further diversifying DryDel’s global operations. Konstantinos holds a Degree in Commercial Operation of Shipping from the London Guildhall University and is a full member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, demonstrating his strong academic background and professional qualifications.
