Frangiskos Kanellakis Executive Director Alpha Bulkers / Pantheon Tankers / Alpha Gas Frangiskos Kanellakis is Executive Director of a privately-owned group of companies, which owns and operates, through its Athens based ship management companies, namely Alpha Bulkers, Pantheon Tankers and Alpha Gas, a modern fleet of vessels serving the dry cargo, oil and gas markets, respectively. The Group has its origins dating back to 1947 when Frangiskos’ grandfather, Antonis Angelicoussis started the business. The fleet is comprised today of 81 Vessels rendering it one of the largest shipowning groups in Greece, employing over 4,000 people. Continuing its rapid expansion, the Group has recently invested in 12 new-buildings, further expanding its fleet in all three segments. After graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Finance from University of York, Frangiskos completed a Master’s Degree in Finance at Imperial College London. Frangiskos worked at Agelef Maritime Services Limited in London in 2004 and relocated to Athens in 2005 to work in various departments at the Group’s headquarters of Alpha Tankers & Freighters. Frangiskos is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Greek Shipowners since 2018. He is also appointed by DNV as a Member of the DNV Greek National Committee. Frangiskos is Member of the BoD of the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Organization (HELMEPA) and is a Committee Member in the NorthStandard Strike & Delay Class Committee. Frangiskos is married to Marili Glypti and they have a son, Christos.
