Ugo Salerno

RINA 

Ugo Salerno is Chairman and CEO for RINA. He started his career at Italcantieri in Genoa and later worked at Fermar in Ravenna. In 1988, he became Fleet Operating Director for Bulkitalia within the Coeclerici Group. Salerno served as President of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) from 2003 to 2004 and held board positions in organisations such as the Standard P&I Club, ITIC P&I Club, and VSL. 
He has been appointed as Director of the Ansaldo Foundation and the hospital Galliera in Genoa. Salerno has held important board positions in Confindustria Genova, IFIA (now TIC Global Board), Ucina - Gruppo Imprese di Servizi per il Diporto, Confindustria Nazionale, Cassa di Risparmio della Spezia S.p.A., Promostudi La Spezia, and the Ligurian Group of Cavalieri del Lavoro. In 2013, Salerno was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro by the President of the Italian Republic.
