Ben Palmer leads Inmarsat Maritime, a Viasat company, taking responsibility for its global commercial strategy and portfolio of connectivity solutions delivered across the merchant marine, offshore energy, and high-end fishing markets. The business he leads focuses both on enabling efficiency and sustainability in the maritime operations which underpin world trade, and on keeping seafarers safe, secure and in touch 24/7.

Bringing over 25 years’ experience of driving growth, performance improvement and transformation in technology-heavy businesses, Ben builds high performing teams and develops the deep relationships with customers which deliver lasting value to their businesses. 

Ahead of joining Inmarsat in 2021, Ben held the position of Managing Director, Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Europe.  He also served for five years in the role of European Strategy and Business Development Director, Northrop Grumman Corporation and prior to this, as Vice President, Enterprise Improvement, AlixPartners.
