Lazaros A. Papagaryfallou Deputy CEO Alpha Bank Lazaros A. Papagaryfallou is the Deputy CEO of Alpha Bank since July 2024. He previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer leading the implementation of the Group's Restructuring Plan, the strengthening of the Bank's capital, the management and divestment of non-core assets (incl. NPLs, REOs) as well as major transformational projects and strategic initiatives, achieving dynamic growth both through organic and acquisitive routes. Since 2022, he also assumed responsibilities for the International Operations and COO areas working closely with the COO for the supervision and escalation of relevant IT and Operations matters, and the Chief of the International Network for the supervision and escalation of matters regarding Alpha Bank’s entities in Cyprus, London, Romania and Luxembourg. Lazaros joined Alpha Bank in 1998 and, until becoming the Bank’s CFO in 2019, held various positions including Manager of the International Network and Executive General Manager in charge of Strategy and Corporate Development. He started his banking career at ABN Amro and Citibank and holds an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Economic University of Athens.
