Shuzhen Pay is Hafnia’s Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury, the largest operator of product and chemical tankers in the world. Her primary responsibilities include creating value for shareholders by ensuring Hafnia has strong access to funding, active financial risk management, supervising and managing treasury activities. She has more than 10 years of experience in strategy and ship finance and is part of the Leadership Group in Hafnia that helps define the strategy.

 Shuzhen joined BW Group in 2012 as a Corporate Development analyst and part of the team that drive the strategy process and involved in several M&A transactions. During the BW Tankers and Hafnia Tankers merger in 2019, she was promoted to head the Corporate Finance & Treasury. Since then, she had led several financing transactions including Hafnia’s first syndicated sustainability linked loan facility and also appointing a new global cash management bank for Hafnia. She was also involved in the acquisition of CTI chemical tankers and Scorpio’s 12 LR1 vessels in 2022. 

Shuzhen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business (Honours) with major in Finance and Business Economics from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business.
