Rene Piil Pedersen is Managing Director of A.P. Moller  Singapore Pte Ltd (Maersk), which is the owner of  around 135 container vessels registered in Singapore, representing investments of more than USD6 billion. 

Rene Piil Pedersen is Vice President of Singapore Shipping Association and Council Member of Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF).Furthermore, he is serving on the boards of various companies with activities in shipowning, shipping line/logistics, green energy, offshore and more. 

Rene Pill Pedersen has been based in Singapore since the 2012 with global and regional responsibilities, especially in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania. Previously he has worked in different roles centered around business development, trade facilitation and government relations based in Copenhagen, Denmark and Brussels, Belgium. Rene Piil Pedersen holds a Master in Economics (M.Sc.) from University of Copenhagen, 
Denmark, and an AMP from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. Furthermore, he finalized other executive courses from INSEAD and other international business schools. 

Rene Piil Pedersen is a Danish national, married to Lisa and they have two adult sons.
