As President of ERMA FIRST GROUP, a world-leading provider of sustainable maritime environmental solutions, she oversees a comprehensive range of sustainable maritime environmental solutions, including the industry-benchmark Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and a robust Decarbonisation Solutions portfolio, featuring Energy Saving Devices (ESDs), Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), and Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) solutions. In her role as Executive Vice President of Environmental Protection Engineering (EPE), Eleni leads a pioneering Greek company dedicated to the development of advanced environmental protection technologies. She also serves as the Director of RWO, a world-renowned German provider of marine water treatment solutions, and as President of Metis, a leader in data acquisition, performance monitoring, and intelligent analytics for the maritime industry. Eleni’s influence extends beyond her companies; she is the President of HEMEXPO (Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers & Exporters), an association that represents Greek maritime technology specialists globally since its formation, 2014. HEMEXPO offers a unified platform for members to collaborate with shipowners/operators, class societies and shipyards worldwide. Her leadership at HEMEXPO has helped position Greece as a leading force in maritime innovation. Additionally, she has served as Vice Chair of SEA EUROPE since June 2021, representing European shipbuilding and marine equipment associations across 16 countries. Eleni's latest business venture involves acquiring Ecochlor, a company based in the United States, which specializes in ballast water management systems and is dedicated to providing environmentally friendly solutions for the shipping industry. Eleni is a member of the Board of Directors at HELMEPA, the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association. The organization plays a critical role in safeguarding the seas from pollution generated by ships, a cause that Eleni passionately supports. Moreover, she is a member of the Maria Tsakos Foundation, a charitable organization focused on promoting education, culture, and maritime tradition.
