Mr. Filippos Prokopakis is the Commercial Director of Danaos Shipping Co. Ltd in charge of the company’s chartering, sale & purchase, projects, and bunkering activities. 
Mr. Prokopakis joined the company in 2012. Prior to joining Danaos Mr. Prokopakis was for more than 2 years the Aviation Dpt. Manager of Mamidoil – Jetoil S.A. He graduated from Athens College, holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Hofstra University (New York) and a Master's of Science degree from London South Bank University in International Marketing. Mr. Prokopakis has also obtained an Executive Certificate from the London School of Economics on Negotiation and Decision-Making, as well as a number of other shipping professional Certificates from London's Maritime Academy.
