Colin Rawlins has worked in the maritime industry in Hamburg for over 25 years. His career began with a qualification as a shipping merchant (Schifffahrtskaufman) in container liner shipping, where he worked for a total of 13 years. Thereafter he spent 5 years in KG ship finance and 8 years in ship management as Managing Director of V.Ships (Germany) GmbH. Colin then spent 2 years as Head of Executive Education at the Hamburg School of Business Administration, before returning to the maritime industry in 2022 as Strategic Business Partner at Lloyd’s Register Germany. Colin holds an LLM Maritime Law and an MSc. Business Psychology, is a native English speaker, as well as speaking fluent German and excellent French.
