Roberto Sifon-Arevalo

Roberto is Managing Director and Global Head of  Sovereign and Multilateral Lending Institutions Ratings.
In this role, he leads a team of senior specialists based in  New York, London, Madrid, Stockholm, Mexico City, & 
Singapore that monitors ratings on sovereigns, multilateral  and development financial institutions throughout the world. Prior to that, he was the head of the Sovereign and IPF  ratings group for the Americas and the Caribbean 
managing the team’s analytical efforts in the region. Roberto’s work experience, before joining S&P in 2003 as  a sovereign ratings analyst, includes several analytical  positions in different Financial Institutions in the US and 
Argentina.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from the  Universidad de Belgrano, in Argentina, and a Master’s 
Degree in International Affairs, specializing in International  Economic Policy, from Columbia University in New York.
