Mr. Konstantinos Stampedakis Co-Founder & Managing Director ERMA TECH GROUP Konstantinos has been the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the ERMA FIRST GROUP since 2009. With a Process Engineering background, he is heavily involved in the development of marine equipment that provides solutions to the new maritime environmental challenges. Leading various acquisitions for ERMA FIRST GROUP both in Greece and internationally he is also acting as Metis Board Vice President and RWO Managing Director. Most recently ERMA FIRST GROUP has acquired the US-based Ecochlor. One of his greatest achievements is the development of ERMA FIRST Ballast Water Treatment Systems and its Type Approval Certification from the USCG. Also, he is particularly proud to make ERMA FIRST GROUP one of the top BWTS manufacturers and suppliers. He is an active member of the Ballast Equipment Manufacturers Association (BEMA) technical committee and a frequent member of the Greek delegation in Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) at the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Currently, Konstantinos is leading ERMA FIRST GROUP’s organic and inorganic growth through the development of robust technologies and products, as well as the acquisition of key players in the market. These products are targeting the decarbonization of the shipping industry and compliance with the new EU directives, such as FuelEU.
