Damien Staples joined Inmarsat as Vice President, Indirect Sales & Partnerships in April 2020. Based in London UK, Damien leads a global team supporting Inmarsat partners as the industry transitions to higher bandwidth digital services.
Prior to joining Inmarsat, Damien held various executive positions at BT Group in London (2011-18), and GE Capital in the USA (2005-09). He has led various strategic consulting initiatives in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and earlier worked for AXA Asia-Pacific Holdings and Telstra in his native Australia.
Damien holds an MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Business Information Systems from Monash University in Melbourne. Damien is an enthusiastic wine collector, WSET level 3 qualified. In his down time Damien enjoys distance cycling and travelling to visit new countries, exploring cultural, culinary and viniculture interests.
