D. John Stavropoulos Chairman Emeritus Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. (TNP) Mr. Stavropoulos served as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of The First National Bank of Chicago and its parent, First Chicago Corporation, before retiring in 1990 after 33 years with the bank. He chaired the bank’s Credit Strategy Committee, Country Risk Management Council and Economic Council. His memberships in professional societies have included Robert Morris Associates (national director), the Association of Reserve City Bankers and the Financial Analysts Federation. Mr. Stavropoulos was appointed by President George H.W. Bush to serve for life on the Presidential Credit Standards Advisory Committee. An instructor of Economics and Finance at Northwestern University from 1962 to 1968, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He was Chairman of Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) from 1994 to 2014.
