Rasmus Stute, Vice President, Area Manager Germany DNV-Maritime Rasmus Stute is based in Hamburg and heads DNV’s Area Germany, being responsible for fostering customer engagement and service delivery, while further strengthening the company’s offerings in one of its home markets. Considering the grand challenges that shipping is facing, Mr Stute was appointed as Area Manager Germany to support the local Maritime industry’s transition to a greener and more efficient future. Rasmus graduated from the University of Duisburg and the Danish Technical University as naval architect. After a short period at a German shipyard, he moved to DNV, where he held several management positions. Among other appointments, he served more than 5 years in Asia, Shanghai, Busan and Singapore. After moving back to Europe in 2015, he was appointed as Director of Approval for Høvik (Oslo), Hamburg, and Gdynia, being responsible for production, product and service development. Prior to taking the lead of the Area Germany, Mr Stute worked to develop the new Containership Excellence Centre in Hamburg and was its founding Director. Mr Stute is also currently a member of BIMCO’s marine safety and environment committees.
