Matt is currently General Manger – Chartering for Rio Tinto, a leading mining and metals company and world’s largest dry bulk shipper. Having joined Rio Tinto in 2014, he is now leading the global freight portfolio covering all of the company’s bulk commodities. Based in Singapore, Matt is responsible for driving freight strategies and has a key role in delivering commercial value while supporting both environmental and safety goals. Prior to this, he spent time on the freight desk for a global dry bulk operator. Matt graduated with a major in Economics from Columbia University, New York.
