Mr. Sau Weng Tang President for Greater China Lloyd's Register Sau Weng is a Naval Architect and Offshore Engineer who graduated from Strathclyde University, Glasgow in 1995. Sau Weng is a seasoned executive with nearly 30 years of working experience where he has worked in London, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and now based in Shanghai. He is currently the President for Lloyd’s Register in Greater China. Lloyd’s Register is a world leading classification society with over 500 staff in Greater China. Sau Weng joined Lloyd's Register in 1995 and has an in-depth knowledge of Lloyd’s Register from 13 years of technical and commercial roles with the organisation globally. Before rejoining Lloyd’s Register in 2022, Sau Weng held various senior international roles working for well-known names in the industry, including RightShip, Global Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Shipping Business Centre, CSL Asia and Willis Towers Watson, where he has accumulated rich networks and experience in the maritime industry. His career cover technical – commercial of shipping, risk management of logistics supply chain, maritime finance and recently into decarbonization, AI and digitization in the maritime industry. Sau Weng speaks three languages fluently and regularly give talks in international conferences. He is married with 2 boys and enjoys playing badminton and cycling during his free time.
