Vasileios Tsiamis Associate Partner – Head of EU Policies and Access to EU Funding & other Incentives in Greece, Strategy and Transactions ► Vassilis is an Associate Partner at EY Greece - Strategy and Transactions – Head on Access to EU funding and Incentives; ► More than 30 years of experience in EU affairs with special focus on areas such as industrial policy, research development and innovation, access to funding/financing, security and defence, through national and international capacities; ► Vassilis holds a University degree as military engineer from the Hellenic Army Academy, a Master of Arts (MA) degree on Management and Planning at the Hellenic Defence College as well as Master of Arts (MA) degree on International Politics at the Université Paris-Sud; In addition, he holds a Master of Science degree on Electrical and Computer Engineering from Greece. He is an author of articles on European matters; ► He has vast experience on large scale procurement, research, development and technology programmes, both national and multinational (e.g., preparing/managing/implementing contracts, building public-private consortia etc.); ► He has a successful track record on national and multinational projects aiming to obtain public funding at National and European level (ESIF, Innovation Fund Programme, H2020 & Horizon Europe, LIFE Programme, EDIDP/ EDF Programme, EIB etc.); ► Having served in an Agency of the European Council from 2009 to 2019 in senior positions, he has a strong background in EU policies including associated funding instruments such as in the areas of green and digital transition, security and defence industry, cyber, maritime, energy, circular economy, movement and transport, health, space, advance manufacturing, radio spectrum and others; ► He was personally involved since 2013 in EU negotiations at Heads of State and Government level, which provides for a strong EU network and knowledge of relevant processes and modalities; ► He has strong background and experience on partnerships of EU with international actors, both pubic and private including organisations.
