John is Managing Director of Oldendorff Overseas Investments, a single-family office with a long tradition in tramp shipping. 
In his role John has direct responsibility for several shipping companies (Container, Bulker, Tanker and Offshore) and non-shipping companies. 

He began his career at Hawkpoint, a corporate finance boutique, in London in 2009 as an analyst in the Marine Transportation team. 
Significant deals include acquisition and disposals of several fleets as well as entire maritime shipping companies (e.g. Unifeeder). 

John holds a “Diplôme de Grande Ecole Superieur”, a “Diplom-Kaufmann” and Master of Science from ESCP. 
He's fluent in English, French and German. He is married with one child and resides in Hamburg, Germany.
