Yuichiro Yamaguchi serves as the head of Ship finance teams of Development Bank of Japan Inc.’s Corporate Finance Department, Division 4, which are responsible for financing both global and local shipping projects. He has 20+ years and influential career as a development banker, including in cross-border corporate and infrastructure finance especially energy and shipping sector. Prior to his current position, he worked as the head of renewable finance team, which he was responsible for project finance deals in the renewable energy sector. He also has the experience of having been seconded to the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry’s Agency for Natural Resources and Energy as a deputy director, where he was responsible for matters related to the International Energy Agency. He holds a BA (Economics) degree from the University of Tokyo and an MA (International Affairs) degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University.
