19 LISTED SHIPPING COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE AT SECTOR PANELS AT
CAPITAL LINK’s 2nd INVESTOR & ANALYST FORUM
MONDAY, JUNE 7, 2010, ATHENS, GREECE

New York, April 28, 2010. The senior management of 19 listed shipping companies will participate in sector panel discussions to be held at Capital Link's 2nd Analyst & Investor Forum scheduled for June 7, 2010 at the Astir Palace Hotel, in Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece.

Greek Shipping a Global Force

Greek shipowners are a major force in global shipping controlling more than 20% of the world's merchant fleet by tonnage and Greece itself has a long tradition as a maritime nation. Greek shipowners who compete on a global scale have a track record as astute operators and asset traders. The global shipping and investment community continue to look at the behavior of Greek shipowners during peaks and troughs, as they have been able to prove their success in one of the most significant, difficult and unpredictable professions of the world.

Greek owned shipping is not related to the development of the Greek economy itself but depends on trends in the global commodity and energy markets. Still, shipping is a significant contributor to the Greek economy mainly through the foreign currency inflows it generates and the employment it provides. Piraeus is a major hub for the global shipping business and the industries that service it.

Capital Link's 2nd Investor & Analyst day

Given the significant number of international investors, analysts and financiers visiting Greece for Posidonia, Capital Link organizes an Investor & Analyst Day during which the senior management of listed shipping companies provides an update and an interactive discussion on the developments and outlook of the various shipping sectors. The panel discussions are sector focused and not company specific.

The Forum is organized in cooperation with NYSE Euronext and NASDAQ OMX.

The target audience includes analysts, investors, financiers, financial and trade media.
