Marcos is a Marine Engineer by profession. He studied at Newcastle University, UK (BSc) and MIT, Boston, USA (MSc). Marcos finished his studies in 1983 and after 2 years military service in Greece, he has been working in shipping in London and Pireaus since 1985. Marcos held positions in technical, purchasing, financial and insurance depts in 4 different shipping companies, before becoming the Managing Director of Eurobulk Ltd in 2005, when the company also became public.
