Mike Krimbill
CEO
NGL Energy Partners LP
Mike Krimbill is the CEO of NGL Energy Partners LP (NGL), a master limited partnership (MLP) which operates five midstream energy businesses; water treatment, crude oil logistics, natural gas liquids logistics, refined products/renewables and retail propane with approximately 3,100 employees. The Partnership has grown from an EBITDA of $24 million since its IPO in May 2011 to the current fiscal 2016 guidance of approximately $500 million.
With over 20 years' experience in executive roles in the energy industry, Krimbill began his career in Tulsa in 1990 as Chief Financial Officer of Heritage Propane, a retail propane startup that eventually went public in 1996 as a MLP called Heritage Propane Partners, LP (HPP). In order to continue its growth, HPP merged with a midstream natural gas pipeline company and changed its name to Energy Transfer Partners LP (ETP). The Partnership added the natural gas transportation business and became the largest intrastate natural gas pipeline business in the United States as well as having the third largest retail propane business in the U.S.
In 2006, Mike was involved in the IPO of Energy Transfer Equity, the general partner of ETP, growing both entities to multibillion dollar valuations with over 5,000 employees across the country. Subsequent to leaving ETP, he joined the Williams Energy Partners, LP Board of Directors for five (5) years and chaired the Conflicts Committee until leaving in late 2012.
