Michael P. Tartsinis
Chief Executive Officer, Global Oceanic Carriers Limited (GO Carriers)
Mr. Tartsinis has extensive shipping experience and has participated in ownership and management of dry bulk shipping. Since 2003, Mr. Tartsinis has served as Chief Executive Officer of Antares Shipmanagement SA, an independent ship management company, which manages dry bulk oceangoing vessels operated by Antares as well as for other third parties.
Prior to Antares, Mr. Tartsinis held positions as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer for six years with another Piraeus based Bulk Carriers Shipping Company and as senior auditor with shipping specialisation for four years with Ernst & Young, the international auditing firm.
Mr. Tartsinis' family background is also shipping oriented as his father and grandfather were involved in the business as well.
Mr. Tartsinis studied Economics and Shipping in Greece and the USA and he holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from New York University in both disciplines. He is also a Certified Chartered Accountant under UK law since 1997.
