Global Oceanic Carriers Limited (GO Carriers) was incorporated on 21 December 2004 as a public company under the Companies (Jersey) Law (registered number 89206). The Company was listed on AIM of the London Stock Exchange and commenced trading on 26 May 2005.
GO Carriers is a global provider of marine transportation services for dry bulk cargoes through the ownership, management and chartering of dry bulk carriers. GO Carriers provides worldwide seaborne transportation services of bulk cargoes such as iron ore, coal, grain, bauxite, phosphate, fertilizers, steel and other products. The technical management of the fleet is undertaken by its affiliate company Antares Shipmanagement, Inc.
GO Carriers is focused on building and maintaining long lasting relationships in the international shipping industry including charterers, operators, brokers, suppliers, classification societies, insurers and others.
The company's current fleet includes six dry bulk carriers, comprised of one Capesize, two Panamax, two Handymax and one Handysize vessel. Global Oceanic Carriers has also entered into agreement to acquire a Handymax vessel scheduled for delivery in November 2007, thereby expanding its fleet to a total of seven dry bulk carriers with an aggregate carrying capacity of 456,273 dwt.
