Howe Robinson Group, also incorporating Lambert Brothers Shipbrokers, Erlebach Shipbrokers and Angus Graham, operates a team of about eighty-five brokers based at the London head office and its branch offices in Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Shanghai, South Africa and Tokyo.

Howe Robinson and Co. Ltd. is an independent shipbroking firm originally established in London in 1883. Initially acting as shipbrokers for a variety of English shipowners and merchants. In 1956 Howe Robinson entered into a joint venture with the Hong Kong trading house Jardine Matheson.

For the next thirty-two years its shipbroking activities, which increasingly concentrated on marketing Far Eastern business in Europe, were conducted through the joint venture known as Matheson Chartering Ltd.

In 1988 the Group re-established its independence as a result of a management buy out. It has subsequently expanded to become one of the largest containership and dry cargo brokers in the world.
