Jeffrey McGee
Director, Simpson Spence & Young Ltd (SSY)
Jeffrey McGee joined Simpson Spence & Young in 2009 as its Director of Tanker Research, after serving for four years as a Director at Drewry Shipping Consultants in London, where he was responsible for its tanker, dry bulk and risk management practices. Prior to that, Jeff was Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at APL Logistics, a unit of Neptune Orient Lines, and led acquisition efforts across Asia and Europe.
His background also includes ten years of progressive experience in capital markets, M&A, risk management and strategic planning at General Motors and Philip Morris, ultimately serving as Treasurer of Philip Morris' financial services subsidiary. Jeff began his shipping and oil industry career at Caltex Petroleum in the Asia/Pacific region. He holds an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BS in Civil Engineering and Economics from Rice University.
