Vanessa Tzoannos specialises in transactions in the shipping and international trade sectors. She represents banks, leasing houses and ship owners in financing arrangements and the drafting and negotiating of loan facilities, lease finance and security documentation.
She also advises on ship sale and purchase and newbuilding contracts and commercial arrangements, including charterparty, agency, shareholder and joint venture agreements.
Vanessa is qualified in England & Wales, Greece, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and also advises on disputes and transactional matters of Liberia law.
Vanessa has in particular advised on Marshall Islands law aspects of a major shipping company's listing on the Norwegian Stock Exchange, the corporate restructuring of Liberian entities of a major shipowning group and numerous finance and lease finance transactions. She has also regularly instructed to provide Marshall Islands and Liberia law legal opinions to major international banks and financial institutions.
