Aaron Bresnahan

Mr. Aaron Bresnahan is President and Managing Director of Wartsila North America, Inc., a Smart Technology company with approx. 900 employees based in the United States. He is also Vice President, Marine Power Sales for the Americas, responsible for achieving Marine Power order intake objectives. Wartsila Corporation is a global leader in the supply of Marine Solutions, Energy Solutions, and related Services. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Wartsila Dynamic Positioning Systems, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Wartsila Voyage Americas, Inc., and is a member of the board of directors of Wartsila Defense, Inc.
During his 20+ years with Wartsila, Mr Bresnahan has served in various Senior Executive, Director, and General Management positions; assigned to both global and domestic responsibilities within the maritime sector.
Mr. Bresnahan is currently a board member of the Association of the US Navy (AUSN). He is also part of the AUSN Scholarship Fund Board, the Naval Order Foundation Board, and the Commander, Continental Commandery of the Naval Order of the United States. He is a general member of SNAME, ASNE, the Navy League, the America Legion, and the Navy War College Foundation. He retired from the US Navy Reserve in March 2020 at the rank of Captain.
Mr. Bresnahan graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy with a BS degree in Marine Engineering Systems. He also graduated from Regent University with an MBA and the Navy War College with a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies.
