Dr. Oleg Kalinin is the Managing Director of SCF Management Services (Cyprus) Ltd since October 2019. SCF Management Services, Cyprus, is a Member of the SCF Group, and is presently managing a fleet of 75 vessels, ranging from tankers (Suezmax, Aframax, LR, MR), Gas Carriers (LPG, LNG), Dry Cargo, Bulkers to mega/pleasure yachts. More than 60% of the managed fleet, are Ice-Class vessels, and are trading in the harsh Arctic/Baltic waters and sailing along the NSR as well as to Baffin-lands.
Oleg sailed over 12 years onboard the SCF tanker fleet. The last three years as a Chief Engineer holding the 1st Class Motor Certificate. Oleg joined SCF Management Services (Cyprus) Ltd (Former Unicom Management Services (Cyprus) Ltd) in 1995 as Engineer Superintendent for Tanker Division. Oleg had been promoted to Deputy Tanker Technical Manager, further enhanced his career by being promoted to Tanker Technical Manager and to the Technical Manager of the complete fleet.
In 2016, the SCF Group (Sovcomflot Group) restructured their organization, and Oleg was promoted to Fleet Director of SCF MS Cyprus branch office followed by his appointment to the Managing Director in 2019.
In 2013, Oleg achieved his Ph.D. Maritime Operations/Engineering at the Admiral Makarov Maritime Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. Before, in 2009, he successfully finalized his Executive MBA in Shipping & Logistics, Copenhagen Business School.
Oleg is serving as Member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber since 2019.
