Dr. Neophytos Papadopoulos graduated from Lanition Lyceum in Limassol. He holds a BEng (Electrical Engineering & Electronics – 1st Class Hns) and a PhD (Digital Communications) from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology – UK, with Commonwealth and UK Ministry of Defence scholarships respectively, and an MBA from the Cyprus International Institute of Management with scholarship from CIIM-‘Fileleftheros’.
Dr. Papadopoulos worked as a telecommunications engineer at the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (1994-2002). He served as the Director of the Office of the Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulations since its establishment (20020) and until his appointment as a Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry (16 March 2021).
He has wide experience in matters of leadership and management, policy, and strategy formulation and implementation.
