Roberto Coustas grew up in Athens immersed in the world of shipping. With degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, he is part of a new breed of shipping entrepreneurs that seek to harness the tools from multiple disciplines, bringing them together for the benefit of the maritime industry. In 2017 he co-founded DeepSea Technologies, which is revolutionising vessel performance optimisation through the use of AI, IoT and cutting-edge software.

DeepSea, which is backed by the London-based Environmental Technology Fund, is currently a team of 70 people and one of the fastest growing tech companies in Europe.
