David Morant

David Morant serves as Managing Director of Strategic Development across Scorpio group companies including NYSE listed Eneti Inc (NETI:NYSE) in offshore wind and Scorpio Tankers (STNG:NYSE) the world's largest owner of product tankers. He has been in his current position since 2015. In addition, he sits on the Supervisory Board of the Belfast Maritime Forum and is a member of the advisory committee of Anaconda Investments.
Prior to joining Scorpio, he had a 17 year career in investment as a Senior Portfolio Manager & Partner and Head of Equity Long/Short at CQS from 2012 to 2015, as a Portfolio Manager & Partner at SAC Global Investors LLP from 2003 to 2011, and as an Analyst at Soros Fund Management in 2002. Prior to this he was an equity research analyst in London at JPMorgan in an II number one ranked team and an analyst in EMEA Advisory M&A from 1998-2002. Mr Morant has a M.A. (Hons) in Modern History & Economics from Magdalen College, Oxford University.
