Peter Aall Simonsen specialises in the banking and finance sector with a focus on banking and debt capital markets in relation to asset, project and acquisition financing. He has over the years also handled several large restructurings related to distressed debt and is regularly appointed as adviser or board member for companies in distressed situations.

Simonsen has long experience with assisting major Norwegian and international banks and finance institutions, brokers and owners/buyers/sellers in various types of transactions. The assistance is i.a. related to M&A of companies within shipping, transportation and production sector and/or their assets, sale and lease back and financing of such transactions. To a large extent the assistance includes advising on cross-border transactions and liaising with Norwegian and foreign authorities and registries.
